Photographer Emma-Louise’s rock’n’roller backgammon sets were born after she made one
and presented it to her husband on his birthday.
Decorated with skulls and eclectic prints, with buttons for checkers, Emma-Louise’s boards fold up so you can stash them in your bag to go on holiday, take to a festie or a Sunday session in the pub.
Emma-Louise at 'The Why Not Project' has created a one off set for TWENTY6 and we are giving you the chance to win it – click here.
WHAT WERE YOUR AMBITIONS AND ASPIRATIONS AT THE AGE OF 26?
26 was a massive year for me. I decided I really wanted to pursue a career in fashion photography, which I achieved - I now work for one of the top online luxury fashion sites. My other biggest ambition was to really make something from my own creative work, which was when the seed for 'The Why Not Project' started to grow. The idea came from wanting to create a home for all my creative sides and not just a website for my photography portfolio. It needed to encompass my personality as a multi-artist, working and creating within many areas. I like to think of it as a sort of emporium of arts. It’s taken two years since I had the initial vision for the Why Not Project and now with the website launching on 22nd June 2011, the next chapter of where this will take me in my life is being written…Exciting times ahead.
