Jacob Lillis is a British photographer who was born in Huddersfield and
raised in Scunthorpe where he now undoubtedly gets his inspiration from.
Jacob is of the opinion that one tends to overlook the simple beauty of the people and places you see everyday of your life. This led him to return to his home town and family to capture these moments and memories on film from his Grandma's collections of antique spoons and owls to the local pub adorned in England flags. Jacob began to photograph these moments when they happened and when he saw them - these images became 'My England'.
Jacob considers himself an artist who draws inspiration from the usual - simple things, people who are themselves and most importantly his family. He obviously admires and adores them and consequently they feature heavily in his work.
Since graduating Jacob has exhibited in and outside of the UK and is now currently working on his first solo show to be exhibited in London this year.
