Molly Goddard was born in Central London and began interning for designers whilst studying at school. After a year on the foundation course, and working for John Galliano in Paris and Meadham Kirchhoff during her BA, she graduated from the Fashion Knitwear course at Central St Martins with a First Class Honors Degree. After a great summer of press and design commissions, Molly Goddard now has a place on the MA course at St Martins.
What are your ambitions at the age of 26?
I would hope to have my own label showing at London Fashion Week, have a house and be opening a really great restaurant.
Pick a word beginning with the letter 'G' which best sums you up?
For each letter of the alphabet, pick a word followed by a sentence that inspires you....
My wonderful sister, who I love a lot and hope to work with one day, she is the most talented and humble worker I know.
I will never stop listening to this band, 'Everybody' is one of my favourites.
My new favourite fabric, especially printed.
Good Bye Baby and Amen and Mixed Moments are two of my favourite books, I always find inspiration in them.
EAZY E/E'S AND WIZZ
A great rapper and a great song I can't decide which I prefer?
Having fun working is the best feeling.
My favourite road in London, it has the best atmosphere and good Portuguese cafe's, everyone who walks down it looks super cool.
HOT AND COOL
My sister and her boyfriend Theo's magazine.
I just got back from Northern Italy and in general everyone was incredibly stylish, the women wear lots of gold jewellery which I love.
I wear these nearly everyday and have done for years they are very versatile and you can get good ones from Tesco.
I study knitwear at Central St Martins, I've completed a BA and am about to start on the MA course. Knitting has taught me to be patient and means that not only can I design and make clothes but create almost any fabric, texture or colour that I want.
I love Corbusier's buildings, they are very simple and strange. I have always wanted to visit The Ronchamp Chapel and I dream of one day building my own house and pool.
MARIA CARLA BOSONA
I remember seeing her when I was dressing at a Giles show and thinking she was incredibly beautiful; I also love every picture Mert and Marcus take of her. I would love to do a shoot with her in my clothes.
I think navy is the one colour that goes with absolutely everything.
I think pretty much anything made from organza looks amazing, if it's made perfectly.
I always bang on about how much I love Prada, but there is not a collection I know of that I dont't love or at least find inspiring. I think Miuciia is a very inspirational lady and would love to meet her.
The Queen is one of my style icons, she is not afraid to wear colours and always looks glamorous.
ROBERT DE NIRO
Mean Streets, and Taxi Driver are two of my favourite films.
Thomas Shickle, my boyfriend makes me work harder, he works even harder.
I want to learn how to do this crochet/lace style craft, it takes a long time but I would love the patience to make a whole dress out of it.
I think underwear is beautiful, I buy it even if I know I wont wear it, especially men and womens vintage pieces.
I recently went to the Harvest Festival at the Royal Horticultural Society in Pimlico - the vegetables were enormous and the most incredible colours. Very inspiring and I am planning to enter next year.
I wish I knew how to weave. I remember watching the Chanel programmes and hearing about the lady who had the most incredible loom that no one could work out how to use. I'd love to do a weaving course one day.
Love of hotels.
YVES SAINT LAURENT
I really love YSL advertising, especially the Pour Homme ad where Yves posed nude.
One of the best fashion films.
